Overview

General Description

The elevators are used for transportation of mixed cargo or bulked goods – vegetables included. The goods are loaded in the silo, from where it is transported, by the elevator, to a closer defined upper destination. The machine consists of the following main components: Frame built from steel, drive- and turn-drum placed at each end of the elevator, a propulsion unit – usually an electric motor with a mechanical speed variation, an endless vulcanized conveyor belt of either rubber or PVC, and a silo covered with TITAN-rubber on the inside.

Functional Description

The endless belt is brought to rotation around the drive-and turn-drum by means of the propulsion unit. The vegetables are loaded on the silo placed in front of the elevator, and are elevated to the unload destination.
